Roxie has been in rescue since around 2015. She is a longterm dog as she has been unable outside of the rescue environment and acted out in fear aggression. The decision was made to keep Roxie here as a longterm dog for her safety and the safety as others as she is a very good girl but a very fearful one outside of the rescue. With us she has flourished and does not display fear behaviours, however she is very selective with other dogs but we are well used to this and manage it well.

What does a sponsor mean to Roxie? 

A sponsor means extra support financially for the care of longterm dogs such as Roxie. It allows us to provide her with good dry food, but also Raw dog food as this is what she thrives on. It would allow us to continue to cover all her vet costs and supplements throughout her life, with her coming in to her older years likely need to start joint supplements. With sponsorships it also means we have extra cash available for each of the sponsor dogs and can provide them with lots of new toys, treats and anything else we can to make their lives happier.

Lastly, it goes towards any costs for doggy day trips, which allows us to take the longterm sponsor dogs out in to public places or private field hire for a change of scenery and to help with enrichment.
